We believe in training kids from the earliest age to follow Jesus all the days of their lives. The purpose of this ministry to children is to lead kids to a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and to help them grow in all that He wants them to be. Teaching them is not enough, we believe in actively involving kids in service to others.
The Children's Ministry is fully aware of the responsibility placed on them in caring for the needs of your children. All adults who apply to work with children are required to complete an application, go through a background investigation and meet with the Children's Pastor for a personal interview.
Nursery (Newborn to 36 months)
Babies are special to us here at Evangel Temple, and we have designed our nurseries to meet the needs of children from birth to 36 months. Our rooms are divided by age groups and staffed by loving and caregivers. The nursery is open during every regular church service. We also have a nursing mother's room available for the convenience of our mothers who need to care for their babies during church services.
Promise Land (Children ages 3 through Kindergarten)
Three, four and five-year olds deserve the very best! That's why we created an exciting environment for learning in our pre-school department. Our classes feature fun craft projects, stories, puppets, creative play times, special trips and activities, plus the teaching of God's Word by loving and caring teachers.
Planet Kids (Children Grades 1-6)
Our elementary classes are aimed at teaching kids and involving them in the work of the ministry. You'll find that our services parallel our adult services in many ways. We have praise and worship, offering, special music, and Bible teaching. Kids are encouraged to help as ushers, greeters, sound and media techniques, and to assist as altar workers. We also have jam-packed services full of things to keep the kids on the edge of their seats as they learn the Word of God. Things like puppets, full-body costumes, games, drama skits and much, much more. In our Planet Kids Children's Church, you will find a staff of faithful leaders who are committed to reaching boys and girls and who lead by example. Bring your child and come find out why our children's ministry is out of this world.
Helps Ministries
We believe that every person has a gift to be discovered, developed and used in service to strengthen the church. These same opportunities available for adults to serve are available to children in Planet Kids. There are adult coordinators who supervise, train and give guidance in each area of ministry.

B.G.M.C. - Boys and Girls Missionary Crusade
Each month we take a segment of our Sunday morning children’s service and focus on what some of our missionaries are doing across the US and overseas. From time to time we may invite a missionary to come and share what God is doing through their ministry. Kids are given a little yellow bank in the shape of a barrel and are encouraged to put in their spare change. On the first Sunday of each month they will be asked to bring their barrel of change with them to church where it is collected and given to missionaries throughout the world.
