Connect

Evangel’s purpose is: To Connect to God and To Connect to Others. “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. Love your neighbor as yourself” (Matt. 22:37-39). It all centers on relationships. OUR CHALLENGE is to have relationships that will result in discipleship. 

It is the perfect season for Re-Connecting. Connecting is the derivative of con which means together, necto which means to bind and ing which is a suffix that expresses continuation. So our purpose, in other words, is to bind together continuously for the purpose of making disciples. This means that each of us are being released into the community to disciple and be discipled as you Connect to God and Connect to Others.

Two of the exciting elements of Connections are passion and familiarity.  The Lord has given each of us gifts and talents.  As a result, we each have a passion for something different. But in that difference we find familiarity. Look around in your church, neighborhood and community for those who share your passions.  Come together and experience the joy of the Lord as we minister to each other and at the same time reach out to those who have not been introduced to Him!

Discover the possibilities to enlarge your territories and become a minister to all people. Also I challenge you to create new Life Teams during this spring semester. I know God’s creative spirit will give you wonderful new ways to connect to your friends, neighbors and fellow workers in the community this spring.
